New QAPI Guidelines

  •   Webinar
  •   5/23/2017
  •   Diane Link, RN, MHA

Diane Link of BlackTree Healthcare Consulting delivers this very helpful and timely session.  The new Home Health Conditions of Participation (CoPs) are designed to develop a more patient-centered, interdisciplinary approach to patient care, while eliminating some of the administrative process requirements currently in place. One of the major changes in the revised CoPs is the new requirement to develop an organizational-wide, data-driven Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.

Just because the CoP implementation has been delayed, this is still an important issue to address now.  Implementing a data-focused QAPI program that monitors organizational-wide data will provide you an opportunity to proactively identify issues and develop improvement plans that help set up your organization for success. Agencies should begin preparations for transitioning to QAPI now.
