In hospice, dealing with death and dying is a part of the job, yet often times Hospice clinicians are left to explain what the hospital or physician did not - that hospice has been called because there is nothing else that can be done. These are difficult conversations to have with both the patient and their family. Just because Hospice providers are used to having these conversations, that does not mean it is easy.
